Just Another Day… Or Maybe Not

Every day starts the same my phone alarm goes off way too early, and I negotiate with myself for “just five more minutes.” (Spoiler: it’s never five.)

I shuffle to the kitchen, hair doing its own thing, and make coffee like it’s the most important meeting of my life. That first sip? Pure magic. It’s the tiny moment that convinces me I can actually handle whatever the day throws my way.

Mornings are a mix of emails, to-do lists, and wondering if I should’ve packed a snack. By lunchtime, I’m ready for a little break  whether it’s something fancy or just instant noodles, it’s the reset button for the rest of the day.

The afternoon always feels like a sprint and a slow crawl at the same time. I sneak in a walk if the weather’s nice, just to feel the sun on my face and remember that life exists outside my screen.

Evenings are my favorite part. I turn on music, cook dinner (or… order it), and let the day slowly loosen its grip. Sometimes it’s Netflix, sometimes a book, and sometimes it’s just scrolling endlessly until I realize it’s way past bedtime.

Daily life might seem ordinary, but hidden in it are little treasures that perfect coffee, a funny text from a friend, a stranger holding the door. And maybe that’s the trick: noticing the small things that make the everyday feel a little less… every day.
